We have an exciting proposal from Washington, DC based artists Rosana Azar and Ali Mirsky, and youth coordinator Talia Orencel, to bring the visual arts to Kisimani School for the first time! Working with over 500 elementary students currently attending our school, Rosana and Ali will help beautify the walls and the wells at Kisimani, leaving our school a more inspiring place to learn in, and creating a positive memory for our students as they participate. There are very few government run schools in Tanzania with artwork on the walls, and we want to change that. |

Creative Adventures is a non-profit organization and will be operating in Africa using only donated funds. Rosana and Ali will be working as lead volunteers and will not be compensated for their time and expertise.
Both artists feel that this work is an opportunity for them to give back in a way that will have a profound impact.
As Americans, we take for granted that art is readily available to our children at a young age, and used as a tool for expression and exploration. Rosana and Ali cannot fathom a world where art is not offered or even understood.
Should you feel moved to contribute, we are asking for donations that will go towards supplies for the mural projects. Any additional or leftover supplies from fundraising will be donated to the school to help establish a visual arts program. Every little bit counts and all donations are tax deductible through Creative Adventures, which is a registered 501(c)3.
