Leah Wagner Leonard is an entrepreneur, actress and former teacher who first fell in love with Tanzania as a volunteer and visitor in 2008. To read the full story of how it all began, please read this post on our blog. She is passionate about education, and equally passionate about dignified, equitable collaboration across cultures, in service of sustainable, positive change.
Leah spent 5 years living full time in Tanzania with her husband Aidan, most recently with their two kids Kieran and Ayla. She is now based in Boulder, Colorado. |
James Losioki is a teacher, and teacher trainer with an advanced degree from Makumira College in Usa River, Tanzania. He was the teacher coordinator at the school where Leah was volunteering in 2008, and James has been donating his time to Kisimani School since its inception.
He was instrumental in finding the community in Mkonoo village, negotiating the vision for our school with the municipal government, and managing development projects at school. He lives in Arusha with his wife Essitah and their son, Tom. |
Enock Laiser was appointed head teacher at Kisimani School in 2015, and has led the staff and teachers to raise their bar of academic excellence. Under his leadership, our inaugural graduating class was ranked #1 in the district with a 100% pass rate to continue to secondary school. He is committed to seeing Kisimani thrive, and lives in Arusha with his family.
Thank you Enock, for all that you do every day to serve the students and teachers at our school! |
