Hello Everyone-

This past week I have said  goodbye to Cali and packed up my life to move to Arusha, Tanzania with my Great Dane and kitty in tow. Over the last year I’ve gotten involved with a nonprofit that has built a community elementary school in Arusha, Tanzania in 2010. I have met the most amazing people through this school and wanted to get more involved so I donated the funds to build their first preschool on the land with the help of their founder, Leah Wagner.

I have taken on this project with so much excitement and passion that I have moved here to see the preschool get off the ground and to teach there as well for a year. My last child is off to college this year and my nest will be bare for a little while until they come back as all children do. Now I am living out some life long dreams!

As with all projects, especially in the beginning stages, building a successful preschool for the community will require support and funding. Even just the bare minimum such as desks, chairs and supplies are still needed.

I, Leah, and the Arusha community would appreciate any support. Any amount is appreciated. Stay tuned for pictures and stories about our progress!

P.S. If anyone ends up in my neck of the woods come visit me. Nothing like moving to a new continent not knowing a soul!
