ENVP Leah's School in Tanzania Fundraiser for GTC 2016!
My name is Roni. I have been friends with Leah Wagner Leonard since we were both 18. Leah has always been a big dreamer.
One of her dreams was to start a school - an English speaking charter school in a country where that is only available in private school. Leah made that dream come true and Kisimani School exists. The first two classrooms were built in 2012 in the Mkonoo village. Prior to that time, the local children walked for hours, up to 11 kilometers each way, to reach the nearest government school. Leah has more gumption than anyone I know. She was able to get computers donated, conduct teacher training workshops and raise funds through friends and family in the U.S. to build two classrooms and a kitchen. The kids even have a little playground. In February, while completing a promotion to the top level of Arbonne International, she moved back to Arusha with her husband and young son. |

The plan is to continue her work to improve the school’s infrastructure and the quality of its education.
Kisimani is an exciting and unique school in Tanzania as it is the only known government-sponsored, community-run English primary school in the Arusha municipality. Government primary schools are traditional taught in Kiswahili and secondary school is talk in English. This means that if a student can be taught in English at the beginning of his or her schooling, he or she will have a significant advantage when it comes time to placing for and excelling in secondary school, university and beyond.
The school doesn't turn children down.
So - we need another classroom.
In April, Leah will be in Las Vegas. She will be getting recognized for achieving that top level promotion in Arbonne. I would love to gift her the gift of a new classroom that day. Let's make it happen - for her dreams and the dreams of all of these beautiful children.
They deserve it. Education will change their life. Their changed lives will change the world.
If you think education is expensive, try ignorance. ~African proverb
