One of the things we are most proud of at Kisimani School is that the community, government and non-profit sectors have all worked together to build our school, and keep it a sustainable project.

As of July 2016:

We are currently in dicussion with the Ministry of Education to build 3 more classrooms for the primary school students, and the community has laid the foundation for 2 more classrooms.  However, the community has made their need for an additional classroom for pre-K aged students very clear, and this is something that falls outside of the government's jurisdiction.  We would love to help them make this dream a reality - to have their own local 'chekechea'.

Project Goals:

Fundraising Target:  $10,000

Deadline:
November 2016

We want to tear down this structure that the community had intended for the nursery-school aged students and replace it with a safe, proper classroom!

No 3 year old belongs in a structure like this.
